1. Information We Collect

  • Improve the platform and provide support
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run Shotspot:

  • Stripe — payment processing and photographer payouts
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — secure photo storage and transactional email delivery
  • Google — "Sign in with Google" for photographer and admin accounts
  • Mapping & geocoding providers (Komoot Photon and OpenStreetMap) — address search and maps when a photographer sets a session location
  • Photographers running a session you join, and legal authorities where required by law

4. Photo Data Retention

Photos uploaded to Shotspot are stored for 30 days from the date of upload. After that they are permanently deleted from our servers.

5. Cookies

We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep photographers and admins signed in. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Your Privacy Rights

European and California users may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or related privacy actions by contacting team@shotspotapp.com.

7. Data Security

  • Passwords are hashed with a salted, computationally-hard function (scrypt); we never store passwords in plain text
  • Bank account and card numbers are held by our payment processor, Stripe — Shotspot does not store them
  • HTTPS/TLS encryption is used for data in transit

8. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to external sites such as Stripe. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

9. Children's Privacy

Shotspot is not intended for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. For example, the address-search and map features send the location text you enter to mapping providers that may operate outside the United States.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Shotspot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
